Happy Fall!

Hello 5th and 6th grade Families!

What we've been up to:

We've had a busy couple of weeks in 5-6. Students of Ms. K's advisory hosted community meeting on the theme of being honest and trustworthy (featuring an original retelling of the Three Little Pigs), and Student Council helped the school raise $480 for the hurricane and fire relief efforts of the American Red Cross!

It was a pleasure to meet so many families at Parent and Family night. The students were excited to share their spaces with you!

Upcoming Events:

Tomorrow, Tuesday October 17th is picture retake day!

We will also (unrelatedly) be participating in a school wide waste audit tomorrow. All classes will participate in looking at what is going into our trash cans, and how we might be able to reduce our waste!

Progress Reports will be going home by the end of the week. This trimester, all students will receive either a "P" (proficient) or "WP" (working towards proficiency) for each core subject area. Letter grades will be given to 6th graders (not 5th) at the end of the trimester.
These are intended to help you stay informed about your students' progress so far this year. Many students are working towards proficiency and that is okay at this point! If you have any questions, please contact your student's adviser.
