Greetings Sixth Grade Parents, Guardians and Students,
This will be an exciting week! On Thursday, many classes will celebrate Valentine's Day in some fashion. Our general rule for Valentine cards shared in school is to bring something in for each student in your child's travel group. Given that this Thursday is a Winter Program day, it is likely that we will celebrate between 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM, when students begin to transition to the Winter Program schedule.
On Friday, we plan a shortened academic schedule between 8:00 AM and 10:50 AM. We will have our SME/WES Winter Carnival beginning at 11:00 AM and continuing until the end of the school day. We will be outside after lunch so it is important to bring outdoor gear: winter boots, jackets, snow pants, gloves/mittens, and a hat or a hood. We look forward to celebrating together.
Next week, RISD will have a February break and school will not be in session.
