Good Afternoon!
Hopefully everyone has been enjoying the deep snow followed by springlike weather this week!
The week before break saw 5th and 6th grade students working diligently (despite the impending excitement of vacation!) and enjoying the wintry weather. Here are some photos from our Thursday Unplugged time-- during which we all truly unplugged and played in the snow.
Upcoming events--
It hardly seems possible, but we are nearing the end of the second Trimester. Trimester 2 ends on Wednesday, March 8th, and report cards will go out the following Wednesday. Three way conferences will be coming up at the end of March.
Enjoy the rest of the break!

100th day of school!
Happy 100th day of school!!!!!
Last week was another busy one in the world of 5th and 6th grade! Many students (and teachers) have been out sick over the last couple of weeks. Warm clothes for recess, eating healthy meals, getting daily exercise, and a full night sleep are ways to avoid getting sick and staying healthy! Having a conversation about all of those components with your students may prevent them from missing school!
When students do miss school they are responsible for getting caught up in all of their classes. This means checking in with each one of their teachers either during morning or afternoon recess time.
This week will be our last Winter Program day. We will return to a normal Thursday schedule and release time next Thursday.
Here are a few dates to remember:
February 20th-24th: Winter Recess/No School
March 10th: Teacher inservice/No School
March 14th: Pi Day- Celebrated by the 5th and 6th graders in school
March 31st: Conferences/No School
April 17th-21st: Spring Recess/No School
Have a wonderful week!!!
